It is commonly known that BMWs are not very safe or well performing when it comes to being in snow and ice and harsh weather conditions. How do other cars compare? Such as Audi's and Mercedes-Benz's? Do they suffer the same fate? How do others compare top BMWs in snow/bad weather?
It dosent come down to the car make, it is the tire..... put a good tire on the BMW and it will perform great in the snow, for example the Goodyear Fortera TrippleTread..... number one tire in it's class...... put this tire on any car and it will eat through the snow like it is not there..... what is sad is that some cars come from the factory with garbage tires on them, like continental's.... the worst tire made in the world..... then you get in rain and snow and the car spins out and you blame the car..... check your tires, then goto www.tirerack.com and get yourself some real good tires! How do others compare top BMWs in snow/bad weather?
Yup they suffer the same fate also. Consider getting the one that has all wheel drive. They are safer in the bad weather. How do others compare top BMWs in snow/bad weather?
each car has its own. a Lexus SC400 is worse than a Corvette in the snow. But a Lexus ES300 is okay until it gets really bad. But then get a Lexus LX470 and you will think 2 ft of snow is just a tiny puddle.
I myself drive a Chevy Blazer and I have yet to find snow, rain, bad weather the truck couldn't get through. I've even been in snow bad enough other 4x4's were getting stuck. Yet I still could pull them out of ditches in the same mess. I hate my truck most of the year.... but when it snows... its one big toy to me.
