how do they compare? in what way?
they are more comfortable
they are faster
they handle better
they stop better
they are quieter
they pollute less
they are more reliable
they drive better in snow
none of those are opinion, they can be backed up with raw data... and the numbers never lie.
if you note, the old hemi challenger did a 1/4 in 14 seconds and 0-60 in 5.9, todays srt8 turns 1/4 in 13.3 and 0-60 in 4.9 seconds... even though it has no stick to enhance it's performance.|||they do not compare in the fact, that in the future these new muscle cars will not have the collector value of a 50's thru 70's original muscle car has today. but there are people that think, if they buy an SRT Challenger and throw it in a garage for 40 years, they'll be taking bids at Barret-Jackson someday to the tune of millions of dollars. the best thing to do, if you buy a new era muscle car would be to drive it, and enjoy it now while you can.|||In short..........Flat out great overall.|||Much better in all spots except 1, the power and the roar of a old muscle carbed 454. now you have to pay extra for a V8 before is you pay more for a bigger V8. That's what i miss
