I need car help..I know nothing about cars and I need a good/fast car to compare with my friends!!!!! :]?

Hi, I'm not good with cars AT ALL. I am a very good driver and getting my license very soon! I like to drive really fast :] I need some help on choosing a car. There's a car club that my friends want me to join when I get a car. They have such amazing cars like supra's, evo's, celica gt, 1 has a lambo, benz's, and bmw's..some hott stuff! a few people have simple civic's and g6's but they're moded and ****! So I know pretty much NOTHING (when i say nothing i literally mean nothing) about cars and I need some major help! I can't afford such expensive cars like them, but I was wondering if you guys can help me pick out a car and tell me what I should do with it. I already know I want subs and tinted windows, but what can I do to make the car any better? faster? lol. Please I need car recommendations and suggestions on what I should do with the car!!! my budget is around $15,000 for the car, tinted, subs, etc. Please name a FEW cars that you would suggest!!! Please, I need my car to be able to at least compare with a couple cars from the car club..I don't want to be the only person with the shitty car! hah :) THANKS!!!!!!!!

I prefer no honda's!!!!!!!!!

I have already been suggested to:

Celica

Pontiac G6

Chevy Cobalt

I would like more options!I need car help..I know nothing about cars and I need a good/fast car to compare with my friends!!!!! :]?
Out of the three that were recommended to you that you mentioned, I'd choose the Toyota Celica. The G6 GT and Cobalt SS are cool and more powerful than the Celica GTS, but don't have as good reliability and track record as the Celica. Since your budget is $15,000 here's some other cars I'd recommend to you:

2005 Toyota MR2

2006 Honda Accord

2005 Saab 9-5

2005 Mazda Miata

2008 Mazda Mazda3

2005 Mini Cooper

2005 Subaru Impreza

2006 Acura RSX

2004 Pontiac GTO

2005 Volvo S80

2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse

1996 Toyota Supra

2005 Toyota Celica

2006 Volkswagen GTI

2006 Dodge Charger

2002 Pontiac Firebird

Most of these cars you'd have some money left over to modify them as you wish. The GTO, Supra, Charger, and Firebird can come with at least 300hp, so powerwise you'd definitely be able to keep up with your friends and then some!
Being 16 and driving fast you will crash your car before the first year is over, sorry but those are the facts.

Being 16 and driving a car slowly you will still crash it inside the first 2 years, sorry but those are the facts too.

Please do the rest of us a favor and drive the speed limit, we have to share the road with you idiots.I need car help..I know nothing about cars and I need a good/fast car to compare with my friends!!!!! :]?
If you can wait until 2011 the Ford Fiesta... but if you can't a mini cooper S! We have one and they are really nice... check them out on miniusa.com
I'd suggest a 1998 Eclipse GSX

Its got All Wheel Drive (Power from the engine is given to all the four wheels other cars like the Civic or the Cobalt have only the front tired giving engine power - with four wheels giving engine power you have better performance)

Its got a 2.4L engine which is fun to drive , economical when you want economy and sport when you want sport!

Eclipse's go well over 200,000 miles and they are very cheap to modify and extract more power.

You'll get a nice GSX for around $3000 depending on where you live , tints $100 , subs and system $2000 , engine upgrades (like a turbo , superchip , manifold , exhaust , pulleys) $5000+ and you can get a new paint if you dont like it and rims another $2000 with all those mods you'll still have some place to work and hey the Eclipse is a very nice looking car you can be at par with the other guys in the club!

Just dont go racing the lambo! :PI need car help..I know nothing about cars and I need a good/fast car to compare with my friends!!!!! :]?
Im cool with teens driving fast as long as it's not traffic.I HATE teens who think they are the **** in their car and its nothing. Just don't be a ricer, put a ridiculous body kit and make your car sound like its farting.

With 15gs I would go with something older than 2000. You can look into..

Toyota Mr2 can get for 6-8k

Honda CRX, cost only 1k or a lil more, b16 swap, intake, exhaust and you have a light car with a decent engine....

300zx Twin Turbo makes 300hp 0-60 under 6 sec. Still have plenty of room to modify it.

OR go with my SLEEPER CAR

1998 Volvo S70 T5. 236hp stock, exhaust, ecu, intake, limo tinted windows, already came with premium sound, boosted to almost 300hp, I make it to 60 in less than 6. ULTIMATE sleeper car, no one expects for me to smoke em in an OL Granny car..Not to mention I have leather, heated seats and power everything..I have luxury
