Two volcanic eruptions (iceland and Chile) pump out carbon. How does that compare with factories and cars?

whilst i am not particularly against clean air etc I do view the Global warming Gestapo with some cynicism.

i get the feeling that it makes car emissions and factories pollution look like a slight wisp of hot air from a boiling kettle|||It's much lower. Here's a couple of links:

http://www.rep.org/opinions/weblog/weblo鈥?/a>

states that volcanic emissions of CO2 are typically about 100-500 million metric tons per year. Human-generated output was 30.6 billion metric tons in 2010 - much, much higher.

I can't find any figure for Grimsv枚tn's output, but this link

http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakingnew鈥?/a>

states the daily output from Eyjafjoell was about 150,000 to 300,000 tons of CO2 per day - about the same as a small to medium European state like the Netherlands.

Human generated CO2 is a major environmental problem - volcanoes don't help but in comparison are fairly limited in their effects. It makes sense to cut human emissions.|||Along with those two volcanoes, there are several more.

Eritrea Africa, Japan, Mexico %26amp; there are possibly several more busy erupting right now.

It's this planet readjusting balance %26amp; reminding puny mankind

Mother Nature has been under attack for too long taking her resources at a 120 %, relentlessly SHE will bite back!|||I remember the facts about Mt St Helens in Washington State

in a few short days - produced the same amount of junk

as the past 100 years

The real Inconvenient Truth = Al Gore has made 100 million on GW

all the best
