How well does Lexus compare to fine European cars or the new fast and roomy Cadillac models?

The Lexus isn't a luxury car so it compares very poorly to any of what you mentioned. Lexus is just a Toyota Camry with the emblems switched and then they added $20,000 to the price tag. That is a lot extra to pay for larger emblems.|||Im not one to defend Lexus against the absurd comments above, but Im pretty sure they are 100% luxury vehicles despite some of the biased German brand opinions above. I personally dont think lexus is the ultimate luxury vehicle however I find it very moranic for people to say they are just another rebadged toyota, sure they share the similar DNA but thier parent company doesnt come close to the offerings of Lexus, they serve two different purposes. And one more thing, you guys above are dumb. Pleanty of wealthy people drive a Lexus, in fact many celebrities do, and its not because they have millions and can afford it, its because they are a reliable manufacturer with an excellent reputation that precedes them, for example Sarah Jessica Parker, Eva Mendes, Marcia Cross and Halle Berry all drive Lexus RX SUV's, they could have easily opted for a BMW X5, Mercedes M-class but they didnt. Gerard Butler drives a GS450H, Reese witherspoon drives her kids around in her Lexus LS460, so for you guys to say they are not highend luxury vehicles is beyond me, just because Lexus is not an overpriced %26amp; underpowered German car does not mean they are beneath the competition. Now to answer your question, I think Lexus is on par in many segments however they do lack some offerings that the Famous German manufacturers have in their vehicles, but in truth it goes both ways. Lexus has the self-parking system while Mercedes does not, Mercedes has the Night vision view while Lexus does not, they are all different manufacturers with the same purpose of offering luxury and comfort but with a variety of different innovations. In terms of luxury, I think Lexus has executed that factor very well, they might not be on par with some European cars in this segment but they are surley a better value with similar and competitive offerings. As for American luxury???? Thats a different story, I dont think they have come to terms with the fact they can not build great quality luxury cars to compete with Japanese and German Rivals. Cadillac to me has 2 good cars, the CTS-V and the Escalade, other then that the rest of thier line up is neglected to be noticed, sure they are probably more reliable then your average BMW but I think Luxury buyers cross shopping a BMW, Lexus, Infiniti, Audi or Mercedes Benz will hardly be tempted to cross shop Cadillac. This however does not mean Cadillac is a bad manufacturer, I just dont think they have reached the success of many of its competitors it rivals.|||Ops... I suppose you should compare Lexus and the US roomy cadillac with a fine European car like the Bugatti 16C Galibier Concept.
