I am looking to buy a car (either 2007 or 2008 model).. the main factors I am looking at are
Price (am I getting a good deal?)
Performance (engine, speed?)
Specs and features...
They don't sell civic coupes here, but just for comparison sake, I'd like to know how they compare..
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!|||Pricewise, here's what you get:
Honda Civic Coupe - $15,205
Honda Civic SI Coupe - $21,805
Honda Accord Coupe - $22,255
Honda Accord EX-L V-6 - $28,805
Hyundai Tiburon - $17,270
Hyundai Tiburon GT V-6 - $20,170
Performance is like this:
Honda Civic - 140 horsepower I-4
Honda Civic SI - 197 horsepower I-4
Honda Accord - 190 horsepower I-4
Honda Accord EX-L V-6 - 271 horsepower V-6
Hyundai Tiburon - 141 horsepower I-4
Hyundai Tiburon GT - 172 horsepower V-6
Specs and Features are very close between the Honda Civic and the Hyundai Tiburon, but the Honda Accord gets a lot more luxury. Unfortunately, you have to pay for it. Fully optioned, the Honda Accord can go for more than $30,000. All models offer both manual and automatic transmissions and the standard power windows/locks/
mirrors, etc., plus optional leather and lighting features.
Overall, I'd avoid the Accord. It's pricy for the V-6, it's bigger and will have less performance than the other two with the 4-Cylinder engine, and it doesn't look as good as the other two in my opinion.
I think it all depends on your budget. If you don't have a lot of money, then the base Honda Civic is the clear choice. If you have around $20,000 to spend, go for either the Honda Civic SI or Hyundai Tiburon GT. The Civic has more horsepower, but the Tiburon has the optional V-6, which will get better performance at higher speeds and has more torque. They're about matched in handling and interior room, and their interiors depend on what you prefer. The Honda has a digital, computerized interior, while the Hyundai has the classic, sweeping gauges and lighting.
If you're looking at these cars, there are a couple others you might consider:
Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe - $15,070, 148 horsepower I-4
Chevrolet Cobalt SS Coupe - $22,995, 260 horsepower I-4
Ford Focus Coupe - $14,395, 140 horsepower I-4
Pontiac G5 - $16,335, 148 horsepower I-4
Pontiac G5 GT - $20,510, 171 horsepower I-4
Saturn Astra XR - $18,995, 138 horsepower I-4
Scion TC - $17,670, 161 horsepower I-4
Volkswagen Beetle - $17,475, 148 horsepower I-4
Volkswagen Rabbit - $15,600, 148 horsepower I-5
Volkswagen Rabbit GTI - $22,990, 200 horsepower I-4
These cars all have Front-Wheel Drive, 2-Doors, and are about the same price/size as the Honda Civic and Hyundai Tiburon. You can view/build these at their respective websites. Performancewise, the Chevrolet Cobalt SS is the clear value. Pricewise, you can't beat the Ford Focus' sub-$15,000 price. Optionwise, nobody offers more options than Scion. As for the interior, I've heard the best interiors belong to Volkswagen.
If you have any more questions about these, or any other cars, please feel free to ask.|||http://www.cars.com/go/compare/modelCompare.jsp?myids=9736,9744,9825
That should be really close to what you're looking for spec wise.
*note that its the basic sedan shown but if you go farther into each car you can price out the coupes.

|||If it were me and this is just me, I would stick with at Ford. Like and Escort. That is the best on gas also. Well that is just my opinion. Good luck with your search.
