and nissan maximas are overpriced and absolutely not worth it

As for the BMW I would say that does not compare to the price, Usually way higher in price and its a german car, It may not accelerate as fast as the G but itll last a life time more then the G35.|||you're kidding me! you obviously know NOTHING about cars!! a TSX?? luxury may be... performance??? not EVEN close!! 200 hp 4 cylinder engine compared to 290 v6! you have NO clue what you're talking about! CTS NO COMMENT??? you seriously think tsx compares better than a CTS? wow you're so bad at this

|||Closest competitor on all these criteria: the BMW 328i. The G is faster, but the Bimmer is a good match on everything else, and if you want more speed from the 3-series, you step up to the 335i, which will cost you several thousand more.
You can worry a Nissan Maxima or an Altima Coupe up to the G's price level, which is the middle-to-upper 30s - the two-door Altima even looks kinda like the G coupe - but they're both front-drivers, which means an inevitable performance hit.
Maybe a C-class (non-AMG) Mercedes would fit here.
Competitive domestics in this price class tend to be physically larger: Cadillac CTS, Pontiac G8 GT.|||Luxury: Pontiac Grand Am, Nissan Altima 3.5S, old Z, Maxima, VW Passat. Most cars out-luxury the G35. It's not very well made and just because it has leather doesn't mean it's luxury. Look at those xenon headlamps in another year. They'll have diffused so badly they look like crappy aftermarkets. (Which wouldn't surprise anyone because the G is such a ricer.)
Performance: Way too many. The G35 is old and there are a LOT of cars with comparable performance. If you can take the ego hit, get a Subaru STI. It'll destroy that precious beater G35.
Price: Lexus IS, Honda Accord EX-L V6, Acura TSX, very used C-class, Saab 9-3, CTS, Volvo S40.
Don't buy a used G35. You don't know enough about it to make that decision wisely. Go to a forum and research there. It's like the iPhone -- if you want something pretty, it's perfect. But if you actually want to use the car for what it was meant to be (a car), then you'll be sorely disappointed.|||i would have to say the Nissan maxima, that is pretty close to the g-35, the reason they are so similar is because Nissan owns infiniti, so alot of the cars look the same, the Nissan armada and the infiniti qx-56 look exactly the same..|||A VW bug for SURE! ;)
