Where have you been?
Gas Mercedes` dont do that well for MPG, but you can still get a well made German car that gets better MPG than a Hybrid does...

or this one...

but then if you can afford an SLK, you can afford $4 a gallon gas (or even $5 for Premium which the SLK requires)|||It'll get 20-25 mpg highway. There are small trucks that get the same mileage. The average small to mid-sized sedan, hatchback or compact will get around 30 or higher. 36 is the highest I have seen for anything other than a subcompact or a hybrid. 30 to 32 seems to be where most mid-sized cars will fall.
With the Benz, you will probobly need Premium gas, so your cost will go up there. Unless you get it with the manual trans, you will not be getting 25, you will get 23(V6) or 20(V8). Also, I am assuming that if you are getting a prefromance car, you will drive it as such, so there goes your mileage. You will be getting the same mileage (or worse than) a full sized pickup and be paying more for gas. Good luck on that.
